Artnivo invites viewers to turn off the dark news on their screens and take a break to visit artist studios.
The exhibition “Staying with the trouble” opens a door to the artists’ studios through screens. The exhibition is a result of a process that took the first steps, grew and then blossomed at a time when we were not alienated from the word “pandemic” yet. Artnivo created the online exhibition with the studio reflections, offering artists to create and photograph mini-exhibitions in their own living and production areas in this difficult phase to come together. The exhibition takes its title from Donna J. Harraway’s book, which Zeynep Beler references in her work. The change experienced by the artists who adapt to the conditions of the pandemic by combining their home and atelier, retreating or transferring their interests to different fields in order to continue their production is also reflected in their work.
