Elçin Ekinci

In her projects, Elçin Ekinci mainly researches existence and human nature, civilization, urban and body politics. Weaving visual networks between all these concepts and representations, the artist's works are shaped around a poetic narrative, and he uses different mediums such as drawing, photography, video and sculpture in the research and thinking process.

After graduating from Yıldız Technical University, Faculty of Art and Design, Department of Compound Arts, she completed her master's degree in Italy Accademia di Belle Arti L'Aquila and Marmara University GSF Sculpture department.

In her projects, she basically explores existence and human nature, civilization, urban and body politics.

Among the exhibitions he has participated in in the last period abroad and domestically, (Galata Greek School, 2019), Now (Odeabank, 2019), 99 Squares (Arton, 2018), Beauty of the Concept (Plato Sanat, 2017), 4th Russian Ural Biennial (2017), “Memoir/Narrative” (Sabancı Kasa Gallery, 2016), “Keystone (Rem ArtSpace, 2016), “Hidden” (Alan Istanbul, 2015), “The Nature of Order” (Daire Gallery, 2014), Mamut Art Project (2015) , “When Ideas Turn into Crime” (Depo, 2010). The artist, whose works are included in important corporate and personal collections, has been living and working in England since last year.

Elçin Ekinci projelerinde, temel olarak  varoluş ve insan doğası, medeniyet, kent ve beden politikaları üzerine araştırıyor. Tüm bu kavramlar ve temsiliyetler arasında görsel ağlar ören sanatçının, çalışmaları şiirsel bir anlatı etrafında şekillenirken, araştırma ve düşünme sürecinde desen, fotoğraf, video ve heykel gibi farklı medyumlar kullanıyor.
