The name of Serenay Şahin’s solo exhibition at Mod Gallery and also the concept of the exhibition. This concept is the energy flow and information, the core of all work occurring in time. All works disperse in a spiral structure formed by information with energy coming out of this core and form their own time spaces.
For the sculpture in the series, the artist punches a mud mass with their right hand and pours lead into the trace formed in the mud mass, turning the trace into a three-dimensional structure. It’s actually a human hand, but it’s as heavy as lead. Actually a punch shot maybe, but also extremely friendly. It’s as heavy as lead but light enough for a quilt needle to lift.
