Seçil, whose most basic thing she seeks with her paintings is to feel and liberate, has completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at Mimar Sinan University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting.
Her art journey, which started in Turkey, continued with exhibitions and residency programs in Europe and the USA. Continuing to work with many galleries, institutions and art professionals, the artist's catalogs were printed on the occasion of his solo exhibitions at TC Ziraat Bank, Gallery Zilberman and Milli Reasürans Art Gallery, and the first artist book published by the Istanbul Graphic Arts Museum was published.
She settled in London in 2017 and established her own studio and started to develop the ties she formed in Istanbul in London. She took his work to a further level by participating in the Artist Business Development program with the London Creative Network and European Union scholarship.
It was accepted to exhibit at the 253rd Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 2021. In 2022, she was selected for the curatorial exhibition organized by New York-based NADA.
Thinking that art is not just about the works produced, the artist believed that the sharing of knowledge and creative power is just as important, and for this purpose, she designed various workshops and established a second workshop with an Art Club in London.
Believing that art and creativity are healing, Seçil aims to bring individuals together and enable them to reach their own creativity in order to create a better future.
Born in Istanbul, the artist continues his life and works in London.
The artist aims to show that it is possible to look at the world from various angles and in a different way, with her innovative paintings that she produces with abstract, color-based layers that represent a range of emotions and ideas. Therefore, it also produces images that can be moved.
As a contemporary artist, she conveys his art to the future by observing the moments she lives in, from the places where she lives, and by using a wide range of imagination and a universal language, with the awareness that he contributes to the formation of culture.
Seçil stated that she has progressed by sharing her colors and creativity, which have grown, liberated, given awareness and flexibility over the years to create a better future, and said, “This has taught me to grasp the past and the present and to connect with the future with the universal language of art and creativity. This first allowed me to say my own words and then turned me into a storyteller through my pictures. My journey, which started in Istanbul and now continues from London, has become richer every day and has carried me to where I am today.’
